About those beans...

Bean plants--note yellow leaves and white, shriveled, beans

Could it be a wilt?
Could it be nematodes?

Whatever it is, all of our beans have been affected. The leaves turn yellow and brown, then die. The beans aren't developing fully, and then they just wither on the plant.

We did manage to get a few handfuls of snap beans, and this small pile of Jacob's Cattle beans, however.

Jacob's Cattle beans are one of my fav varieties, but it is hard to find a local source for them. Do you eat them fresh or dried?

We're trying them for the first time this year, and yes, we got them for drying beans. These ended up dried due to the weird bean issues we're having. The pods were bone dry and white before we knew it.

This bunch is hardly a handful so we'll probably try to combine them with another kind for soup this winter.
